Overview of introduction of dual-clutch transmission

General

The new dual clutch transmission is characterized by fast gear changes without interruption of tractive power and improved efficiency. It allows sporty vehicle dynamics while at the same time providing the comfort of an automatic transmission. The advantages of the dual clutch transmission are the increased vehicle dynamics, the increase in comfort resulting from jolt-free shifting, a high level of efficiency, and the virtually interruption-free transmission of tractive force. The dual clutch transmission control unit (N15/13) is integrated into the dual clutch transmission.
