202 up to 31.5.97 with CODE (552a) Anti-theft alarm (ATA) for Switzerland
On models 140 and 202 the ATA control module (N26) receives the ground signal from the lock switches (S86/1, S87/1, S88/2). The left front door actuator (S47) must also switch ground to the ATA control module (N26) within approx. 6s.
If the signal sequence is not maintained, the ATA is not deactivated.
On vehicles with code 882a (infrared interior protection) the interior protection and anti-towing features are deactivated automatically.
Starter lockout (10/92 up to introduction of standard immobilizer)
The lead for circuit 50 from the ignition/starter switch to the starter is interrupted when the ATA is armed by an additional starter lock-out relay module (K38).
In the activated state the relay is not under power. In the deactivated state it receives power from the ignition/starter switch, circuit 15 and the ATA control module (N26) circuit 31, causing the relay to pull in and making it possible to start the engine.
The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is deactivated by:
Unlocking the vehicle with the remote control key
Unlocking the vehicle with the mechanical key (only , and vehicles before 1/94 which have not been disconnected)
Function
When the vehicle is unlocked with the remote control key the ATA control module (N26) receives a ground signal from the RCL control module (N54) or IR DAS control module (N54/1).
When the vehicle is unlocked with the mechanical key on model 129 the ATA/CF microswitch for the left or right front door or trunk lid (S86, S87s1, S88s1) switches positive voltage to the ATA control module (N26).
