I Front cab
II Rear cab
On vehicles with air suspension cab, the cab is suspended by two air suspension bellows attached to the front of the cab (43.01a) and two air suspension bellows attached to the rear of the cab (43.01b). The compressed air required by the suspension is taken from connection 24 on the compressed air drier with integrated pressure regulator (brake system connection W). The overflow valve with limited return flow (7.02) ensures a certain pressure level in the cab air suspension system, if the pressure at connection W drops below a value of 10.2 bars.
The air suspension valves (41.01 a, b, c) are connected to the cab and vehicle frame by a linkage. If the cab level changes, the deviations are transferred to the air suspension valves by the linkage.
When suspension rebounds
If the cab suspension compresses, for example, at the front right, the air suspension valve (41.01a) allows compressed air to flow in.
The compressed air flows from connection W through the overflow valve with limited return flow (7.02) and opened air suspension valve to the air suspension bellows (43.01a). When the cab level has been reached, the air suspension valve closes.
Extension
If the cab suspension extends, for example, at the front right, the air suspension valve (41.01a) allows compressed air to flow out.
The compressed air flows from the air suspension bellows (43.01a) through the air suspension valve into the atmosphere. When the cab level has been reached, the air suspension valve closes.
