Charge pressure control valve Position
Charge pressure control valve Task | Regulating the charge pressure from engine revolutions of about 2000 rpm, in line with engine load and engine speed, by opening the exhaust flap in the turbocharger. The bypass flap remains closed up to an engine speed of about 2000 rpm (charge pressure is not adequate).
Charge pressure control valve Design | The charge pressure control valve consists of a vacuum unit, a control linkage and a bypass flap.
Charge pressure control valve Function | The charge pressure control valve is closed by the charge pressure control vacuum transducer (Y80) through the vacuum unit (110/10) and the exhaust gases are deflected as a result to the turbine wheel (g). The bypass flap (a) is actuated by the control linkage (b). When the bypass flap is fully open, no precompression takes place; the engine operates as a naturally aspirated engine. |
