The idle speed of the engine is stabilized with the aid of the throttle valve control module in all engine operating conditions and loads. Account is taken both of the load states as well as the temperature.
The idle air quantity required is less in view of the fact that the idle air is controlled directly at the throttle valve and not, as previously was the case, by means of a bypass. This also, of course, reduces the quantity of fuel required.
Use of this throttle valve control unit offers the following advantages:
- Improved control of idle speed (direct control at the throttle valve and reduction in leak air points)
- Insensitive to soiling
- Reduction in exhaust emissions
- Improvement in fuel consumption
- Reduction of number of versions
