Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Drain coolant

Drain remaining coolant at coolant drain plugs (9, 10) on retarder

Detach compressed air line (1) from screw plug (2) and place to one side

Only the compressed air connection system "VOSS 232" may be used.

Remove screw plug (2)

The control plunger (4) is pushed out by the spring (6).

Installation: Install a new screw plug (2) and sealing ring (3).

Remove control plunger (4), spacer (5) and spring (6)

Installation: Install a new control plunger (4), spacer (5) and spring (6).

Remove sealing rings (7, 8) from retarder housing

Installation: Replace sealing rings (7, 8) and slightly grease using special grease. Note the installation position of the sealing ring (7): the sealing lip (arrow) must point outward.
