Risk of death caused by limbs being caught or crushed by rotating parts when performing tests on the brake test stand

Never leave the vehicle unattended on the rollers except in an emergency. Ensure that no one is under the vehicle or near rotating parts during testing. In case of emergency, use the EMERGENCY OFF switch to shut down test stand.

Mount pedal force meter onto brake pedal.



Drive vehicle into roller brake test stand.

 Do not switch off engine.

Gradually apply specified test forces to the brake pedal, and compare the brake force reached on each axle against the reference values.

 The reference values must be reached, to enable the specifications for the legally prescribed minimum deceleration to be fulfilled.

If the reference values are not achieved,



Determine causes and repair brake system as required.

Drive the vehicle off the roller brake test stand.


If the vehicle with a drive axle is on the rollers, drive it off the rollers only when the roller drive is running.
Otherwise, excessive roller acceleration could damage the drive of the rollers.

Operate parking brake.

Switch off engine.

Remove pedal force meter.
