Disassemble

Pierce the cap (11) in the center and pry out


When removing do not attach lever between cap (11) and seat.
Otherwise, the seat will be damaged and the front section of the transmission housing (1) must be replaced.

Engage gear, counterhold drive shaft (8) with retainer wrench and remove bolt (10)

 Shift finally back to neutral.

Detach transmission housing front section (1)

Remove drive side inner bearing race (9)

 The inner bearing race (9) of the countershaft bearing is divided into two halves. The inner bearing race (9) on the output side is mounted on the countershaft.

Remove roller bearing (7) from main shaft

Check roller bearing (7)

If damaged or worn



Replace roller bearing (7).

Detach housing extension (2)

Assemble

Clean sealing surfaces of transmission housing parts

 The sealing surfaces must be grease-free.

Assembly cleaner

Coat sealing compound evenly on sealing surface of the rear section of the transmission housing (3)

Coat sealant evenly on sealing surface of the front section of the transmission housing (1)

Slide roller bearing (7) onto main shaft

Position front section of transmission housing (1) at main shaft and countershaft

Mount pilot bushings (6) and front section of transmission housing (1)

Engage gear, counterhold drive shaft (8) using retainer wrench and tighten bolt (10)
