4 | Remove soundproofing and if necessary underride guard | ||

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. | |

10 | Disconnect adapter or connections on PTO | ||

12 | Disconnect connectors of transmission/frame wiring harness (3) | ||
13 | Separate electrical connector on speed sensor (B17) | ||
14 | Detach air lines from solenoid valve for retarder oil reservoir | Only on transmission with retarder. | |
15 | Detach pressure limiting valve with ventilation (30.03) from frame and place to one side | Only on transmission with retarder. Do not remove pressure limiting valve with ventilation (30.03) and do not disconnect compressed air lines. | |
16 | Detach plug from retarder coolant temperature sensor (B85) | Only on transmission with retarder. Disconnect cable ties of electrical line and tie electrical line to one side. | |
17 | Detach coolant line (8) from retarder cooler | Only on transmission with retarder. | |
18 | Support automatic transmission with inspection pit lift | ||
19 | Support engine | Use a suitable tool to prevent the engine from tilting. | |
20 | Undo bolted connections (4) | | |
21 | Loosen bolts (5) | | |
22 | Detach automatic transmission from engine and lower downwards | Check drive plates for damage by visual inspection, replace if necessary. | |

23 | Install in the reverse order | ||
24 | Check oil level in automatic transmission or add automatic transmission fluid if necessary | ||
