Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.

Detach shift lever knob from gearshift lever (10)

Detach gearshift boot with support from shift lever (10)



Checking

Set gearshift lever (10) to neutral

Attach adjusting device (11)

 Screw the probe (12) into the threaded hole of the adjusting device (11) according to the transmission model and cab designation.

Transmission 712.611, 712.62/63, 715.050/060 with cab designation 972.899 into threaded hole "G56;G60;G85-A".

With cab designation 958.860, 972.890 into threaded hole "G56; G60;G85-B".

For vehicles with four-cylinder engines.

Place probe (12) on centering bore at gearshift lever (10); adjust shift mechanism if necessary

 Do not bend the probe (12).

It must be possible to position the probe (12) at the center of the upper centering bore of the gearshift lever; if necessary, adjust the rear gate support and longitudinal support:



Install

Detach adjusting device (11)

Perform a function test

 Shift through all gears,



Repeat adjustment procedure.

Attach gearshift boot with carrier to gearshift lever (10)


