1 Slacken jam nuts (5) at rear gate support (2) and jam nuts (4) at longitudinal support (3) by a few turns.
2 Turn adjusting rod (6) of rear support until probe of adjusting device is centered with gearshift lever.
3 Tighten jam nuts (4) on both sides of ball joint end of longitudinal support (3).
The shift rod (1) must run parallel to the threaded stud of the longitudinal support (3).
4 Recheck adjustment of rear gate support (2); correct if necessary.
5 Tighten jam nuts (5) at rear gate support (2).
6 Operate gearshift lever several times in direction of gear and gate. Once again check setting of shift mechanism, correct if necessary.
Test by lifting the probe on the adjusting device and then releasing it. The probe must align with the center of the upper centering hole in the shift lever.
