| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove rear countershaft transmission cover (17) | Transmission 714.120/140/692
Transmissions 714.690/691
2.1 | Remove valve element (7) by turning slightly clockwise or counterclockwise | On transmission with transmission oil cooling, code G40 Clean the separating surface of the transmission housing around the valve element (7) before removal.
Installation: Align the valve element (7) so that the roll pin (9) lines up exactly with the extension to the outside edge (arrow) of the cast hollow in the rear transmission housing.
2.2 | Remove spacer (18) | On transmission without transmission oil cooling, code G40 Clean the separating surface of the transmission housing around the spacer (18) before removal.
3 | Remove components of pressure relief valve (19) or pressure relief valve (20) out of the bore in succession
4 | Remove sealing rings (4, 8) | Installation: Replace sealing rings (4, 8) and oil lightly.
5 | Remove outer oil pump housing (10) | If present The outer oil pump housing (10) is not removed separately if it is already integrated into the rear countershaft transmission cover (17).
Installation: Observe installation position of outer oil pump housing (10).
6 | Remove ring gear (11) and impeller (12) in succession
7 | Pull out inner oil pump housing (13) from rear transmission housing
8 | Remove shim (14) and guide pin (15) from rear transmission housing | Installation: Determine the thickness of the shim (14) for the oil pump when replacing the oil pump or the rear transmission housing:
Determine shim for oil pump
Vernier depth gauge | |||
9 | Clean all parts and check for wear, renew if necessary.
10 | Install in the reverse order |
