Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. | |

7 | Detach coolant hoses (4, 5, 7 and 15) on radiator (6) | Check condition of coolant hoses and screw clamps, replace if necessary. | |
6 mm socket hexagon on flexible shaft for hose clamps with worm drive | |||
8.1 | Detach charge air hoses (10, 11) on charge air cooler (9) | with code MQ4 and MQ5 | |
Clean connection points thoroughly otherwise charge air hoses may be pried off during operation. | |||

9.1 | Unplug fan connector on charge air cooler (M43.1) | With code MQ4 and MQ5 | |
10.1 | Unscrew mounting clamps from A/C lines (13) on radiator (6) | With code H06 (Air conditioning) | |
11.1 | Unscrew A/C lines (13) on condenser | With code H06 (Air conditioning) | |
Installation: Replace seals. | |||

12.1 | Unscrew and detach automatic transmission oil lines (12) on radiator (6) | With code G40 (automatic transmission) | |
Collect ATF which flows out. | |||
13 | Unplug fan connector (M34.1, M34.2) on radiator (6) | Expose cables. | |
14.1 | Detach pin (14) on charge air pipe to radiator | With code MQ3 | |
Expose charge air pipe. | |||
15.1 | Remove radiator (6) with A/C condenser and charge air cooler (9) upwards | with code MQ4 and MQ5 and with code H06 (Air conditioning) | |
Installation: Insert fastening spigots (arrows) of radiator (6) and charge air cooler (9) into the corresponding rubber grommets of axle/engine subframe (15) during assembly. | |||
15.2 | Remove radiator (6) with A/C condenser and | With code MQ3 and with code H06 (Air conditioning) | |
The charge air pipe remains in the installed condition. | |||
16.1 | Detach charge air cooler (9) on radiator (6) | ||
17 | Install in the reverse order | ||
