 Warning

Risk of injury caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.

No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Unscrew cap of the coolant expansion reservoir

 Slowly unscrew cap and relieve overpressure.

Remove front section of lower engine compartment paneling

Drain coolant at radiator

Slide the drain hose onto the left fitting (3) on the radiator

Slacken drain screw on radiator (4) and drain coolant.

 Collect coolant in the coolant reservoir. Observe regulations to dispose of coolant.

Drain coolant at cylinder crankcase

Remove rear section of lower engine compartment paneling

Loosen cylinder crankcase drain screw at left (5) and right (6) until they can be turned by hand

Slide drain hose onto cylinder crankcase drain screw at left (5) and right (6)

Continue to manually loosen cylinder crankcase drain screw at left (5) and right (6) and drain off coolant

 Collect coolant in the coolant reservoir. Observe regulations to dispose of coolant.

Pour in

Tighten radiator drain screw (4) and detach drain hose from fitting (3)

After coolant has been drained at radiator

Detach drain hose and tighten cylinder crankcase drain screw at left (5) and right (6)

After coolant has been drained at cylinder crankcase

 Coolant drain plug to cylinder crankcase
