Warning

Risk of burn injuries and scalding when working at AdBlue lines and the components attached to them. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when handling AdBlue. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing AdBlue

Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Notes on use, material properties and handling of AdBlue®

AH14.40-N-0001-01A

1

Unscrew the protection cap (1) from the valve (3).

2

Actuate the valve (3) until the pressure reservoir (4) is completely empty.

3

Unscrew the screws (6) and remove the pressure reservoir (4) from the pressure reservoir housing (2).

The pressure reservoir housing (2) still contains some AdBlue. When removing the pressure reservoir (4), use a suitable container to catch any escaping AdBlue.

Install

4

Clean the pressure reservoir (4) and check it for damage; replace if necessary.

5

Insert the pressure reservoir (4) into the pressure reservoir housing (2) and fasten with screws (6).

The specified grease must be used. It must also be ensured that grease is used very sparingly,
otherwise this could damage the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Replace O-ring (7). Clean contact surfaces of O-ring (7) using a clean rag and water.
Apply a thin coating of grease to the O-ring (7) before installing it.

Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

7

Perform an engine test run and test the pump module (8) in the area of the pressure reservoir housing (2) for leaks.
