Remove poly-V belt

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle

Remove lower engine compartment paneling

Unscrew bolts (1) and remove and remove intake muffler (2) from compressor (3)

Intake muffler to supercharger

Bolt of intake muffler to oil filter housing

Disconnect electrical plug connector (4) on recirculated air flap actuator (M16/7) and hang line on clamp (5)

Unscrew bolt (6) of compressor (3) from engine mount

Lower vehicle

Detach ground line (7) from vehicle body

Remove compressor (3) from timing case cover by unscrewing bolts (8)

Remove compressor (3) together with inlet and pressure fittings (9) upwards

Remove inlet and pressure fittings (9) from compressor (3)

When replacing the compressors (3)

Remove recirculated air flap actuator (M16/7) from compressor (3)

When replacing the compressors (3)

Install in the reverse order

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
