1	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000V
2	Detach engine intake air duct (1) from air filter housing (2).
3	Detach hose (3) on the crankcase air vent from cylinder head cover
4	Disconnect vacuum line (4) on brake booster	 To do this, release the plug (5) and pull the plug upwards from the vacuum line to the intake manifold.
5	Detach plug connector on hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)
6	Pull out plug on barometric pressure sensor (B18)
7	Release electrical plug connection (8) on intake air duct (9)
8	Release plug (10, 11) and unplug from ME control unit (N3/10).
9	Remove intake air duct (9) from intake muffler (12). Loosen hose clamp (13) to do this	 Check the hose clamp (13), replace if required.

10	Remove air filter housing (2) from intake manifold. Remove bolts (14) to do this		*BA09.10-P-1001-01C

11	Remove air filter housing (2).	 Lift up air filter housing (2) from the rear, push in the direction of the partition wall and remove from front mounts (15).
		 Close intake opening of intake muffler (12).

		 Installation: Wet the rubber bushes on front mounts (15) of air filter housing (2) with lubricant. Ensure correct seating of air filter housing (2) in the front mounts (15).

12	Install in the reverse order
