Notes on changes
Malfunction of electro-pneumatic switch of spring brake system.
All vehicles are to be modified to production fitting
(production fitting, code B65 as of 12.98).
Air compressor inlet has been modified with production fitting of heated air drier (code B65) (prevention of condensation collection which cause system to fail). Furthermore, the line routing (air lines), switches, valves, etc. in entire system have been modified including partial re-location of components.
Therefore, in event of complaint or during a scheduled or non-scheduled workshop visit, all vehicles are to be converted or retrofitted to production fitting introduced as of 12.98 (heated air drier, code B65).

Replacement part supply for the conversion or retrofitting has now been definitely confirmed by GLC. The affected vehicles can be called up in the Pascha system in mask 4C.
The following vehicles are not affected:
- Model 512D
- with compressed air brakes (code B16/B19)
- with frequent stop brakes (code B20)
- with code B65 (production as of VIN end no. 081121)
Please note that the completed repair is to be documented in the F-DOK mask 1517. We request prompt action to ensure vehicles have this technical modification before the winter.
As of issue 5.99 the work instructions for retrofitting or conversion to heated air drier (code B65) can be called up in WIS.

Retrofitting of vehicles to B66 is to cease immediately. Expenses for this will no longer be paid by us. Pending part orders in ET are to be immediately cancelled and re-ordered in accordance with new work instructions (B65).
To simplify ordering of parts we have compiled six parts kits. These are given in the relevant work instructions.
Generally the GLC and ELC's reserve the right to reject implausible order quantities. In urgent cases (immobile vehicle) support is available via existing GLC hotline:
