GF42.45-W-2001MP | Intervention of stability control (SR) when understeering or oversteering, function | 3.10.02 |
MODEL 375.4, 934, 944, 954 with CODE (BB7) Stability control (SR)
Requirements
Vehicle speed > 10 km/h
Stability control (SR) is switched on, the stability control indicator lamp (INS) has gone out.
If the stability control indicator lamp flashes, switch on the stability control (SR) with the SR shutoff switch
Function
While driving the vehicle dynamics control (FDR) control unit constantly records via the signals from the steering wheel angle sensor the nominal course specified by the driver and compares this with the actual course. The vehicle dynamics control (FDR) control unit calculates the actual course taking into account the vehicle speed from the signals of the sensors for yaw rate and lateral acceleration integrated in the vehicle dynamics control (FDR) control unit.
The vehicle dynamics control (FDR) control unit triggers wheel-individual brake interventions for course correction via the brake control (BS/EPB) control unit as soon as it detects a deviation between the specified course and the actual course.
W42.45-1004-11
Intervention by the brake system when understeering
If the tractor vehicle brakes away above the front axle, a yawing moment is built up by selective braking of the rear wheel on the inside of the curve, which turns the tractor vehicle into the curve so as stabilize it.
The stability control indicator lamp in the instrument (INS) lights up during the automatic intervention by the brake system.
1 Nominal course
2 Actual course
W42.45-1005-11
Intervention by the brake system when oversteering
If the tractor vehicle brakes away above the rear axle, the oversteering handling is counteracted by specific braking of the front wheel on the outside of the curve. Simultaneously the semitrailer is braked via the trailer control valve and jackknifing of the semitrailer/tractor combination by straightening the semitrailer/tractor combination.
The stability control indicator lamp in the instrument (INS) lights up during the automatic intervention by the brake system.
1 Nominal course
2 Actual course
