Remove retarder

 The retarder must not be removed if only the pressure relief valve is removed.

Remove bolt (4) from pressure relief valve

 The bolt (4) is under pressure.



Remove the components of the pressure relief valve from the bore one after another

 The pressure relief valve includes a spring (3) and valve element (2). The

Mark the installation position of the valve element (2).

 Installation: Check the valve element (2) in the bore for proper seating by turning.

Remove outer oil pump housing (5) from rear transmission housing

 Installation: Ensure correct installation position of oil pump housing (5).

Remove the two gear wheels (7, 8) from the countershaft one after the other

Remove inner oil pump housing (9) from rear transmission housing



Remove shim (10) and cylindrical pin (6) from rear transmission housing

 Installation: Determine the thickness of the shim (10) for the oil pump when replacing the oil pump or the rear transmission housing:



Clean all parts, check for wear and replace if necessary
