 	Removing, disassembling
1	Drain transmission oil		AP26.00-G-2601E
2	Remove retarder	 Only carry out on vehicles with performance-optimized Voith retarder.
3	Remove transmission output flange (19)		AR26.40-G-0007E
4	Remove radial shaft sealing ring (18)		AR26.40-G-3840E
5	Remove road speed sensor (B17)		AR26.19-G-0006E
6	Remove transmission output speed rpm sensor (B57)		AR26.19-G-0016E
7	Remove rear end cover (23)		AR26.30-G-3001E
8	Remove oil pump (24), shim (25) and oil pressure relief valve		AR26.55-G-3000E
9	Remove range module (16)		AR26.20-G-1006E
10	Unscrew screw plug (29), and remove seal ring (28)
11	Remove oil strainer (27) and spring (26)
12	Unclip vent nozzle (31) on the screw plug (6)
13	Unscrew screw plug (6), and remove catch bolt (4) and spring (5)	 The screw plug (6) is spring-loaded.
14	Remove left bearing pin (17) and right bearing pin
15	Turn shift rod (14) with attached shift piston through 180° and pull out
16	Remove radial shaft sealing ring and pilot bushing of shift rod (14)		AR26.31-G-0101E
17	Remove bolts around circumference of rear section of transmission housing (13)
18	Install guide bolt (30).
	Guide bolt for installing range group		WF58.50-N-3100-01A
19	Remove rear section of transmission housing (13)	 Do not damage the sealing surfaces on the rear section of the transmission housing (13) and on the center section of the transmission housing.

20	Remove pilot bushing (1) for shift rod (14)		AR26.31-G-3100-03E

21	Remove retaining ring (10), ball bearing (11) and pulse ring (12)
22	Remove shift fork (8) and take out sliding blocks
23	Remove planetary gear set with shift mechanism (7)
24	Check sun gear (2) for wear and damage, replace if necessary
25	Remove locking ring (3) and pull off sun gear (2)	 Only carry out if the sun gear (2) is to be replaced.
26	Disassemble planetary gear set with shift mechanism (7)		AR26.50-G-3102E
