Unscrew bolts (2) at front cover (1)

Lift locking pawl (7) of top guide rail (6) up and off the dowel pin with notch (4)

Top guide rail (6) is released and remains in timing chain box.

Pull front cover at cylinder head (1) forward and off the cylinder head

Pay attention to dowel pins (3, 4, 5).

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces. Coat sealing surface of front cover (1) with sealing compound, refer to.

Run engine until warm, switch off and inspect for leaks.
