	Remove/Install
1	Remove cylinder head cover		AR01.20-D-5014E
2	Remove vacuum pump		AR43.05-D-1320E
3	Remove predelivery pump		AR07.02-D-1030A
4	Remove chain tensioner		AR05.10-D-7800D
5	Unscrew bolts (2) at front cover (1)	Engine 611.981/983/987	*BA01.30-P-1006-01A
		Engine 612.981	*BA01.30-P-1002-01M
6	Lift locking pawl (7) of top guide rail (6) up and off the dowel pin with notch (4)	 Top guide rail (6) is released and remains in timing chain box.
7	Pull front cover at cylinder head (1) forward and off the cylinder head	 Pay attention to dowel pins (3, 4, 5).  Installation: Clean sealing surfaces. Coat sealing surface of front cover (1) with sealing compound, refer to.

8	Install in the reverse order
9	Bleed low pressure fuel circuit		AR07.16-D-0100A
 Danger!	Risk of accident. Accidents may result if the vehicle starts off unintentionally with the engine running. Risk of injury. Crushing and burn injuries may result while working on engine during when it is being started or when it is in operation.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving. 10	Inspect for oil leaks	 Run engine until warm, switch off and inspect for leaks.
