Remove heat shield above turbocharger

Unbolt chain tensioner (1) from timing case cover

Installation: Install new seal ring (2).

To facilitate installation of chain tensioner, crank engine slightly in clockwise direction at crankshaft (timing chain is slackened in the area of the tensioning rail).

Install in the reverse order

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.

Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Allow engine to run until warm, then turn off engine and check for leaks
