Secure vehicle against rolling

Bleed parking brake completely

Preassemble filling line (7)

 The filling line (7) consists of a plastic pipe, connection, right-angle plug (13) and connection fitting.
The length of the plastic pipe must be 
a = 1910 mm.

4.1

Connect the bracket (9) to the existing underride guard bracket near the entrance



 Only on vehicles with Code C57

4.2

Unlock driver's seat and swivel forwards

 Except on vehicles with Code C57.

Danger!

Risk of explosion caused by escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or metal spatter due to short circuit. Risk of burn injuries caused by short circuit. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or absorption of lead over the skin or orifices

No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.

Wear acid-resistant gloves and clothing and safety glasses with side guards.

Do not place any conductive objects on the battery and avoid any short circuit from battery positive to ground.

Only fill liquid battery electrolyte (diluted sulfuric acid) into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Remove batteries

Except on vehicles with Code C57.
 Switch off battery ignition before removing battery.

Unscrew fixing bolts of seat frame and raise seat frame

Except on vehicles with Code C57.
 Raise driver's seat with seat frame approx. 20-30 mm and secure in this position using suitable supports.

Remove step paneling in entrance area

Except on vehicles with Code C57.

 The cover panels of the radio wires near the driver's seat may have to be removed 
depending on the respective body manufacturer.

4.6

Prepare entrance area for installing external filling connection for compressed-air and mount bracket (9).

Except on vehicles with Code C57.

Connect existing compressed-air line to connection (21) of quintuple distributor (5)

Only on vehicles with retrofitted Code B65.

5.2

Remove existing compressed-air line 912) at output of non-return valve (F)

Only on vehicles with Code B65 as standard.

Connect V-plug (6) at connection (21) of quintuple distributor (5)

Only on vehicles with retrofitted Code B65.

Connect V-plug (6) at output of non-return valve (F)

Only on vehicles with Code B65 as standard.

Connect existing compressed-air line and filling line (7) to V-plug (6)

Install filling line (7)

Installation: except vehicles with
Code A71.
Secure filling line (7) with collar clamps (14) below driver's cab without scuffing.

Installation: Only vehicles with
Code A71.
Install filling line (7) below cab and secure to differential lock line with three hose brackets.

Secure connection (10) of filling line (7) to bracket with a hexagon nut


