System description
The central locking system consists of the control module and up to 5 active door actuators, in other words it is possible to lock and unlock the vehicle completely from any door.
The actuator is powered by an electric motor. An actuator motor in this case operates a shaft drive which moves a plunger up or down, depending on the direction of rotation of the motor. The result of this operation is that the door lock can be locked or unlocked. In addition, a command switch is integrated in the actuators and a rotary tumbler switch at the door lock.
The rotary tumbler switch signals the "Door open" or "Door closed" status and in addition interrupts the motor current in the driver and passenger door in the case of "Door open". The command switch is operated directly by the plunger and signals any change in the lock status, locked or unlocked.
The control module monitors the signals from the command switches and rotary tumbler switches and operates the actuator motors accordingly.
The control module detects the following states:
Door unlocked
Door locked
Door open
Door closed
Door not electrically connected
Actuator does not reach end position (asynchronous detection)
When a command is given, the actuator motors which are connected in parallel, are energized through a locking relay (in the control module) and the door lock is unlocked or locked in this way (pole reversal circuit).
The control module can be connected through an interface to the radio frequency locking (RFL) control module. This bidirectional link to the RFL control module is used for initiating and unlocking or locking operation using the radio remote control.
