This SI applies to all MercedesBenz transmissions that are installed in other makes.
To simplify the warranty process for transmission damage experienced by external customers (Terex Demag, Grove, VDL, van Hool, etc.), the processing procedure used for industrial engines will be used effective immediately.
This means that the transmissions installed in other makes are entered and processed directly in VEGA.
Entry in the VEGA system is done in the same way as for industrial engines, i.e. using the world manufacturer code IMO and the 14-digit transmission number, which is composed as follows:
