Clean windshield (1) with commercially available glass cleaner and check for scratches and damage.

Level adhesive bead (2) with scraper (3) down to a thickness of approx. 1 mm.
Only when reusing previously installed windshield (1). Remove all loose residues from adhesive bead (2) on windshield (1) to prevent leakage.

Position sealing frame (4) on windshield (1), press on with thumb and pull over windshield (1) by moving up and down (arrows).
Do not moisten sealing frame (4) with antifriction agent to facilitate installation.

Install cup suction tools (5) at outside of windshield (1) and fit windshield (1) in window frame and center.

Glue on adhesive strips (6) at side and lower edge of windshield (1).
The adhesive strips (6) serve as a marking aid for gluing in windshield (1) later.

Cleanly cut adhesive strips (6) at gap between windshield (1) and body with a knife.

Remove windshield (1).

Mask transparent part on screen print (8) with adhesive strips (7) on inside of windshield (1) in area of A-pillars.

Wipe damaged adhesive area (9) with moist rag from repair kit and rub dry with dry cloth.
Do not use commercially available cleaners. Otherwise the adhesive bead cannot adhere to the primer layer (10).

Clean adhesive area (11) with moist rag from repair kit and rub dry with lint-free rag.

Thoroughly shake primer tube (12) before use; hold primer tube (12) upright when opening threaded connection and open application sponge (13) to stop.
11.1
Repair damaged primer coat (arrow) on windshield (1) with primer and allow primer to flash off for at least 15 minutes.
Only when reusing previously installed windshield (1). The primer coat (10) is damaged, if the screen pint (8) is translucent in the area of application (test with flashlight).
11.2
Apply primer from repair kit approx. 20 mm wide on black edge surface directly next to sealing frame (4) on windshield (1) with application sponge (13).
When installing new windshield (1). Allow primer to flash off for at least 15 minutes.

Check primer coat (14) on windshield (1) for opacity.
The primer is applied properly when the screen print in the application area is opaque to light (flashlight test). If more than 12 hours has passed since leveling the adhesive bead, apply primer to entire adhesive bead.
