7 | Remove deep-groove ball bearing (11). | ||

8 | Remove shim between deep-groove ball bearing (11) and parking lock gear. | ||
9 | Position transmission so that it is facing downward and vertical with the torque converter housing (1). | ||
10 | Unscrew screws (7). | ||
11 | Remove transmission housing (3) from torque converter housing (1). | ||
12 | Remove seal (arrow A) from torque converter housing (1). | ||
| Clean | ||
13 | Clean sealing surfaces on torque converter housing (1) and transmission housing (3). | ||
14 | Clean threads for screws (14) in transmission housing (3). | ||
Install | |||
15 | Attach new seal (arrow A) to torque converter housing (1). | ||
16 | Align disks of clutch pack BR (12) and multidisk brake B2 (13) in transmission housing (3). | ||
17 | Place transmission housing (3) onto torque converter housing (1). | | |
18 | Mount output flange (8). | ||
19 | Place transmission housing (3) on torque converter housing (1). | | |
By abruptly turning the output flange (8) while simultaneously lifting up the transmission housing (3), the transmission housing (3) gradually slips onto the seal (2) of the torque converter housing (1). | |||
20 | Remove output flange (8). | ||
21 | Check that there is no gap between the transmission housing (3) and the torque converter housing (1). | The transmission housing (3) must lie completely flush (without gaps) against the seal (arrow A) on the torque converter housing (1) (arrow B). | |
22 | Tighten new screws (7). | ||
