2 | Open cap on fuel tank and close again. | In order to reduce the overpressure in the fuel system. | |
3 | Clean outside of soiled housing (4). | ||
4 | Remove housing cover (1) and pull filter element (3) out of housing (4). | Ensure that no foreign objects enter the housing (4). Do not wipe the housing (4) under any circumstances. | |
5 | Clean housing cover (1) and filter element (3). | Replace filter element (3) if severely soiled or damaged. | |
6 | Replace sealing ring (2). | Grease sealing ring (2) slightly. | |
7 | Insert housing cover (1) with filter element (3) into housing (4) and tighten. | Cover, fuel prefilter to fuel filter housing | |
8 | Start engine and bleed fuel system. | Allow engine to run for approx. 1 min. The fuel system is bled automatically. | |
9 | Check leak tightness between housing cover (1) and housing (4) with engine running. | Visual inspection. | |
10 | Switch off engine. | ||
