1 | Clean area around oil drain screw (1) and the two covers (3) | The utmost cleanliness must be ensured when performing work on the automatic transmission. Drain oil when hot. | |
2 | Remove oil drain screw (1) | Drain the transmission oil completely. | |
3 | Unscrew screws (2) and remove cover (3) with oil filter (6) | Caution when removing the oil filter (6), there is still a larger residual quantity of transmission oil present. | |

4 | Replace seals (4) and sealing rings (5) on both covers (3) and moisten with transmission oil | | |
5 | Install both covers (3) with new oil filters (6) and tighten screws (2) | Bolt, filter cover to transmission housing | |
6 | Install and tighten oil drain screw (1) | Replace seal. | |

7 | Release cover (8) and pull out of oil filler pipe (9) | ||
8 | Insert funnel into the opening of the oil filler pipe (9) | Funnel | |
9 | Fill with transmission oil | Automatic transmission fluid | |
10 | Insert cover (8) into oil filler pipe (9) and tighten | Wipe off cover (8) using a lint-free rag. | |

Warning | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
11 | Start engine | Apply parking brake. Allow engine to run for Approx.. 1 min. at idle speed. | |
12 | Shift through all selector lever positions | Operate service brake. Remain with the selector lever in each position for Approx.. 20 s. Then shift the transmission back to position "N". | |
13 | Check transmission oil level in display on the selector lever console | Request transmission oil level in display | |
