Designation for A 000 989 15 02 09 seam seal changed to adhesive.

Due to constant improvement to our quality standards we would hereby like to point to a new weld stud repair solution on body-in-white.

1. Repair solution for weld stud with coarse thread

Area of application: on ground down to bare metal sheet steel on body-in-white with a thickness of 2 mm to 4 mm.

Purpose: for all component parts that are bolted to the body-in-white with a bolt.

2. Repair solution for weld stud with coarse thread in combination with a body repair

Application areas: on all ground down to bare metal basic materials of the body-in-white e.g. steel, aluminum, cast aluminum.

Purpose: for all component parts that are bolted to the body-in-white with a bolt.

Preparation:

1 Grind bonding area down to bare metal.

2 Adapt mounting plate of ground surfaces (align), body-side contact surfaces.

3 If there is a hole in the body-in-white due to broken off or missing old bolt, this can be sealed with A 000 989 15 02 09 adhesive or A 012 989 17 71  TS COMPONENT ADHESIVE BODY (hole does not need to be welded shut).

4 When using A 000 989 15 02 09 adhesive, an additional 2 rivets with 4 mm diameter must be fitted in the opposite corner area of the mounting plate.

5 To achieve a high adhesive quality, please observe the adhesive's processing instructions before bonding.

6 After the adhesive has hardened, reproduce paintwork structure and anti-corrosion protection as per manufacturer's specifications.
