Nuts
The nuts (1) previously used in series production have been replaced by lightweight construction nuts (2) since mid 2017.
There are advantages of implementing the lightweight construction nuts (2) in terms of production and manufacture and due to the weight being approx. 20 % lower than the previously used nuts (1).
The lightweight construction nuts (2) and the previously used nuts (1):
Have the same technical data.
Can be installed on a vehicle simultaneously.
Are loosened and tightened with the same tools (open-end, box or socket wrench).
Are tightened to the same tightening torque.
Can replace one another.
An undamaged lightweight nut (2) can be reused as often as required.

Bolts
As of June 2018, pan head screws (4) with inner torx (A) are also installed in series production. These simplify assembly in certain screw cases, exclusively in series production. The inner torx (A) may not be used for tightening nor for counterholding the pan head screw (4) in further work, i.e. in case of repairs.
The normal screws (3), the pan head screws (5) and the pan head screws (4) with inner torx (A):
Can be installed on a vehicle simultaneously.
Can replace each other at the same screw length.
Are tightened to the same tightening torque.
