We would like to point out that an incorrect procedure when assembling coolant connection (1) leads to leaks between the flange (5) and coolant pump (3).
The hole pattern on flange face (6) must be checked before installing the coolant connection.
If the rubber lip of seal (7) lies completely on flange face (6), the hole pattern (A) is correct.
If the rubber lip of seal (7) does not lie completely on flange (6), the hole pattern (B) is incorrect and the coolant connection (1) must be replaced.
The work must be carried out in a certain sequence in order to avoid distortions at the flange (5).
First install the bolts (4) at flange (5) and then install bolt (2) lightly.
Subsequently tighten bolts (4) at flange (5) first and then tighten bolt (2) on engine mount.
