Due to an error on the STAR DIAGNOSIS CD 11/02 diagnosis on the retarder system is not possible.
Symptoms:
Communication malfunction when entering retarder control.
Error 1.2-2.519 with the communication software error text is displayed on the monitor.
Afterwards a communication with other control modules is no longer possible.
DAS must be completed and restarted to enter other systems.
This error will be eliminated with STAR DIAGNOSIS CD 01/03 (delivery date middle of January 2003).
Possibilities for retarder diagnosis up to start of STAR DIAGNOSIS CD 01/03:
DTC's and actual values can be read out onboard and then decoded with the aid of the DAS simulation.
Brief information on the DTC's and actual values are also available in the DAS simulation.
If it is absolutely necessary to perform "active" retarder diagnosis ( control module data read-out, guided test, setting parameters and system test), STAR DIAGNOSIS CD 10/02 (if still available) can be read in.
