N3/9 CDI control unit
Location
The CDI control unit is built into the engine compartment at the right in front of the windshield.
Task
The tasks of the CDI control unit are subdivided into the following partial tasks:
Controlling of the common rail diesel injection (CDI) function
Input and output signals
Control of CDI function
The CDI control unit controls the following CDI functions:
- Fuel supply
- Glow functions
- Injection control

- Refrigerant compressor switch-off (A9)
- Shutoff control
The CDI control unit is equipped with a fault memory, which can be read out via STAR DIAGNOSIS.
The CDI control unit has an internal atmospheric pressure sensor.
