Remove/install

Remove gearwheel of the high-pressure fuel pump.

Remove slide tensioning rail.

Expose the fuel line (5) and remove it from the fuel high-pressure pump.

 Removal: Use a clean rag to catch escaping fuel.

 Installation: Replace the O-ring on the fuel line (5).

Lead the fuel line (5) to one side and seal the openings with suitable stop plugs.

 Removal: Use a clean rag to catch escaping fuel.

Remove screws (6) and remove cap (8).

 Installation: Replace the O-ring (10) on the cover (8).

Remove the vacuum line (7) upwards out of the engine, lead it to one side, and seal the opening of the vacuum line (7) with a suitable stop plug.

Remove connection fitting (9).

 Installation: Replace connection fitting (9).

Remove screws (2).

Attach the puller to the gearwheel (4).

Pull the oil pump with the integrated vacuum pump (1) out of the engine and remove it.

Remove the flange gasket (3).

 Installation: Replace flange seal (3).

Check gearwheel (4) for damage and wear.

If there is a problem,



Replace the gearwheel (4).

Remove the gear wheel (4) from oil pump with integrated vacuum pump (1).

If the oil pump with the integrated vacuum pump (1) or the gearwheel (4) is being replaced.

 The screw has a left-hand thread.

 Installation: Replace screw/bolt.
