Remove/install

Remove diesel particulate filter.

Remove screws (2).

 Bolt, oil return flow line to turbocharger

Remove bolt (3) .

 Screw/bolt, oil return line to crankcase

Remove oil return feed line (1).

 Installation: Ensure correct seating in the crankcase.
Install new seal on the exhaust gas turbocharger.



Check

Check sealing ring of the oil return feed line (1).

If sealing ring is damaged,



Replace oil return feed line (1).

Install in the reverse order.



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Carry out an engine test run; check engine for leak tightness while doing so.
