Remove exhaust gas turbocharger.

Remove SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit.

Remove heat shield lower section and heat shield upper section under SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit.

Remove screw (3) .

 Installation: Replace screw/bolt(3).

Remove screws (2).

 Installation: Replace screw/bolts (2).

 Bolt, oil return line to crankcase

Remove oil return feed lines (1).

 Installation: Install new flange seal (4).



Clean

Clean sealing surfaces on crankcase.

Seal openings in the crankcase and oil return feed lines (1) with suitable stop plugs.

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check engine in area of oil return feed lines (1) for leaks.
