Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Drain engine oil, pour in

Remove axle/engine subframe

Take off dipstick guide tube (5)

Unscrew bolt of oil filler neck (7) from oil pan (8) and pull out

Installation: Replace O-ring (9).

Collect engine oil that flows out.

Unscrew bolt clamp (3) and pull off coolant hose (4)

Expose coolant hose (4).

7 mm socket hexagon on flexible shaft for hose clamps with worm drive

Remove plug on oil sensor (B10)

Unscrew the bolt from transmission at oil pan (8)

Unscrew bolts (1) on oil pan (8)

Installation: Align oil pan (8) to rear contact surface at transmission.

Note different lengths and diameters of bolts

Remove oil pan (8)

Carefully press off the coolant pipe.

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces.

Replace oil pan gasket (11).

Note the installation position of oil pan gasket (11).

Install in the reverse order

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
