Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Open engine hood

Turn the cooling system cap (1) on the engine radiator (2) a half turn counterclockwise, relieve the pressure and then unscrew the cooling system cap (1)

Check anticorrosion/antifreeze in the coolant



 If the mixing ratio is incorrect, correct the coolant composition. Refer to:

Correct the antifreeze

Check coolant level, adjust to correct level if necessary.

 Only use approved anticorrosion/antifreeze agents.

The coolant in the radiator (2) must be up to the overflow and be between the "LOW" and "FULL" marks in the expansion reservoir (3).

If more than 0.4 l of coolant have to be added for reasons of coolant loss, the cooling system should be checked for leaks.
