Pry out radial shaft sealing ring (12) using a suitable tool

 Do not damage transmission housing.

 Installation: Pack space between dust lip and sealing lip with long-life grease.
Drive in radial shaft sealing ring until flush with drift.

Unscrew bearing cap (17) from power takeoff

Only with code N05 and N07 (Power takeoff).

Remove power takeoff output shaft (14)

Only with code N07 (PTO).

 Installation: Insert tapered roller bearing (13) of output shaft with long-life grease

Detach shift cylinder (23)

Only with code N07 (PTO).

Remove retaining bolts (7) of reverse idler shaft



Insert transmission housing in press-in tool for disassembly

 Due to the studs in place, a hole of dia. 13 mm must be made in the press-in tool on transmissions with power takeoff.



Unscrew bolts (5) from transmission housing



Lift front section of transmission housing (3) off rear section of transmission housing (4)

 Gently separate halves of transmission housing from each other using plastic mallet
 Do not insert screwdriver between housing halves.

 Installation: Pay attention to alignment pins.

Remove reverse idler shaft with reverse gear

 Rotate counterclockwise.

 Installation:
