Remove transmission housing (1) from torque converter housing.

Place transmission housing (1) on assembly device (2).

Remove snap ring (3).

Remove clutch pack B05 (4).

Attach threaded rod (6) and pressure disk (7) and position wing nut (8) on threaded rod (6).

Tighten wing nut (8) until snap ring (9) is exposed.

Remove snap ring (9).

Remove disk spring (10).

Remove piston (12).

Remove piston ring (11) from piston (12).

Remove snap ring (13).

Remove clutch pack B06 (5).

Remove wing nut (8) and pressure disk (7).

Attach thrust ring (14) and position wing nut (8) on threaded rod (6).

Tighten wing nut (8) until snap ring (15) is exposed.

Remove snap ring (15).

Remove wing nut (8) and thrust ring (14).

Remove disk spring (16).

Remove coupling flange (17).

Apply some compressed air to piston (18) through center hole on transmission housing (1) and remove piston.

 Wear safety glasses.

Remove sealing rings (19, 20) from piston (18).

Install

Apply light coating of oil to new sealing rings (19, 20) and install onto piston (18).



Install piston (18).



Check

Check coupling flange (17) for damage.

If damage is visible,



replace coupling flange (17).

Insert coupling flange (17) into transmission housing (1).

 Pay attention to proper installation position The lugs (arrows A) must face forward.

Insert disk spring (16) into transmission housing (1).

 Pay attention to proper installation position

Insert assembly sleeve (21).

Place snap ring (15) around assembly sleeve (21).

Mount assembly sleeve (22) onto assembly sleeve (21).

Position wing nut (8) on threaded rod (6).

 Assembly tool

Tighten wing nut (8) far enough until snap ring (15) engages.

 Check for correct seating and installation position. The cutout must face forward.

Remove wing nut (8), assembly sleeve (21) and assembly sleeve (22) from threaded rod (6).

Measure

Measure clearance of clutch pack B06 (5) and adjust.

Insert clutch pack B06 (5) into transmission housing (1).

 Make sure that the installation position is correct. The lugs (arrows B) must always face forward.

Install snap ring (13) in transmission housing (1).



Check

Check piston ring (11) for damage.

If damage is visible,



replace piston ring (11).

Insert piston ring (11) into piston (12).

Insert piston (12) into transmission housing (1).

 Make sure that the installation position is correct. The hole on the piston (12) must line up with the hole on the transmission housing (1).

Insert disk spring (10) into transmission housing (1).

 Pay attention to installation position.

Attach pressure disk (7) and position wing nut (8) on threaded rod (6).

 The cutout of the thrust ring (14) must line up with the cutout of the snap ring (15).

Tighten wing nut (8) and install snap ring (9) in transmission housing (1).

 Ensure correct seating.

Measure

Measure clearance of clutch pack B05 (4) and adjust.
