Drain transmission oil out of torque converter and transmission (1) and screw oil drain screws back in again

Unhook Bowden cable selector lever from transmission (1)

Position transmission jack (4) with transmission plate (3) on to transmission (1)

 Place a suitable mat between the oil pan of the transmission (1) and the transmission plate (3). The transmission (1) can otherwise be damaged.

Fasten transmission (1) using tensioning strap (5) onto transmission plate (3)

Raise the transmission (1) using the transmission jack (4) until the rear engine mount is relieved

Remove rear engine crossmember (9)

Undo screws (12) and nuts (11) and then remove bracket (10)

 Replace nuts (11).



Mark bolts (2) and remove

 Place line bracket to one side.



Pry transmission (1) off the engine and extend

 Aid of helper required.

Make sure that the torque converter remains in the transmission housing when extending the transmission (1), if necessary use tool to push.

Lift torque converter out of transmission (1)

If necessary or when continuing work.

Checking

Check oil pump radial shaft sealing ring for signs of leakages and damage, replace if necessary

Install in the reverse order
