Remove coolant pump housing

Check for oil leaks

If the cause of the oil leak cannot be clearly determined 

Check rear of engine for external oil leak, determine

Knock out steel balls (9, 10)

Knock both steel balls with a steel rod (8) out of the crankcase from the front to the rear.



Installation: Clean thoroughly steel ball seats in crankcase. Undamaged steel balls can be inserted several times.

 If leakage is present, re-position steel balls about 1 mm (size is fixed at insertion drift (07) ).

If steel balls are damaged, always install new part!



Insert steel balls (9, 10)

Installation: Place steel ball onto insertion drift (07) with a little grease and knock in as far as the fixed stop on the insertion drift (07).



If during insertion a steel ball is not sufficiently sealed or a leakage occurs after tightening, 

replace steel ball with plug

Install in the reverse order

After completion of the engine, check oil leak in the area of the steel balls before installing the transmission 
