Function sequence
Locking vehicle with door locking/unlocking switch on vehicles equipped according to GGVS guidelines
1 Prerequisites:
Driver's and passenger doors closed.
2 The locking operation can be started with the door locking/unlocking switch (S63).
3 The "lock" signal from the switch causes the ZV/KSA control module (A23) to actuate
the GGVS control module (A5)
and
the locking motors (M11 and M12) in the driver's and passenger doors.
The locking motors move to the "locked" position, the closed doors are locked and the cab interior lighting goes out.
The GGVS control module switches off the entire power supply 10 s after completing the locking operation. For this purpose it interrupts the power to the battery isolation switch.
Convenience locking with the convenience locking system is not actuated when the vehicle is locked with the door locking/unlocking switch.
If one of the two doors is open when the locking operation is started, the closed door is locked, unlocked and locked again to indicate that the other door is open.
If the passenger door is open the locking command is stored and the passenger door locks automatically when closed later.
If the driver's door is open the locking command is not stored to prevent the driver locking himself out. For the driver's door it is therefore necessary to repeat the locking operation after closing.
After completion of the first locking operation a maximum of 10 s is available to close the open driver's door and repeat the locking operation. After expiration of 10 s the GGVS control module interrupts the power supply so that it is then only possible to lock the driver's door manually with the door handle.
