This procedure is intended to guide the Dealer about the correct method to repair the pump filter without damaging the suction connector, in order to reduce the large amount of AdBlue® pumps with warranty claims that are rejected for having their connectors damaged due to incorrect handling. As a result, a short circuit takes place on the pump motor electronic system due to the receptacle flooding.
Examples of damaged connectors that have caused leaks and flooding in the pump motor receptacle.
1
Normal hexagon head
2
Sheared hexagon head with damaged internal thread
3
