Longitudinal section of the gearbox
(Cross section of the differential)
1 Primary shaft
2 Secondary shaft
3 Longitudinal differential
4 Reverse shaft
Task
The roller bearings of the shafts are subject to radial forces and the rigid radial bearings absorb radial and axial forces.
The tapered roller bearings of the longitudinal differential (layout in X) are subject to axial and radial forces.
The shielding of the rigid radial bearings prevents dirt particles from entering, thus managing to prolong the life and decreasing noises at high speeds.
Primary shaft (1)
The primary shaft is supported on two bearings, specifically on a cylindrical roller bearing in the clutch housing and on a shielded rigid radial bearing (CB - clean bearing) in the gearbox housing.
Secondary shaft (2)
The secondary shaft is supported on two bearings, specifically on a needle bearing in the clutch housing and on a shielded rigid radial bearing (CB = clean bearing) in the gearbox housing.
Reverse shaft (4)
The reverse shaft is supported on two bearings, specifically on a shielded rigid radial bearing (CB = clean bearing) in the clutch housing and on a needle bearing in the gearbox housing.
Loose wheels
The suspension of the loose wheels in their respective shafts is comprised of two roller rings in one line in the 1st gear and two needle rings (radial) in one line and two needle radial bearings in the 3rd gear.
A needle bearing in installed for each of the 2nd, 4th and 5th gears as well as the reverse.
Longitudinal differential (3)
The longitudinal differential (3) is supported by means of several tapered roller bearings, both in the clutch housing and in the gearbox housing.
