Function
1 Release bearing
2 Pressure piston
3 Preload spring
4 Housing
5 Transmission input shaft
B2 Clutch travel sensor
A Basic position
B Pressure position
When the clutch is operated the pressure piston (2) of the hydraulic central clutch release bearing (10) is operated hydraulically and is moved forwards on the transmission input shaft (5). In the process the clutch bearing (1) presses against the disk spring of the clutch and operates it. The hydraulic central clutch release bearing (10) is sealed internally by a seal boot.
When the clutch is not operated, the preload spring (3) ensures that the clutch bearing (1) is subject to a constant minimum load in order to avoid bearing noise. Via the clutch travel sensor (B2) the drive control (FR) control unit (A3) records the position of the hydraulic central clutch release bearing (10) inductively.
