Remove/install

1

Warm up engine to normal operating temperature

Coolant temperature approx. 80° C

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

AS20.00-Z-0001-01A

2

Open cooling system cap (1) at coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Carefully turn cap as far as the first detent, release pressure, and then unscrew cap.

3

Unscrew oil filler cap (3)

4

Remove glow plugs (4)

AR15.20-D-4111B

5

Position piston for cylinder to be tested at ignition TDC

Crank engine at crankshaft in direction of engine rotation (clockwise).

6

Connect cylinder leakage tester (4)

Calibrate cylinder leakage tester. Remove check valve in screw-in fitting.
